H.I.V./A.I.D.S. Counseling

Living with HIV/AIDS requires a lifelong commitment to maintaining good mental as well as physical health.  In addition to being at potentially greater risk for depression and anxiety, the HIV-positive client may also face emotional concerns involving relationships, family issues, self-esteem, sexuality, personal growth, addictive behavior, and spirituality.  While these issues are common in counseling, their presentation with a co-occurring HIV diagnosis requires more specialized knowledge on the part of the therapist.

In addition to being respectful and affirmative, Spring Grove offers practitioners who are experienced and trained to work with HIV-positive clients and their unique needs.  Please contact us for specific referral information.
