Training Background
Kendall completed her undergraduate degree in Education and Psychology at Culver-Stockton College in Canton, Missouri. Kendall then utilized her degree in education teaching before pursuing her Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology at Southern Nazarene University in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Prior to returning to her native home Kendall completed over 300 hours of practical experience at Life Counseling Center in Bethany, Oklahoma.
Approach to Therapy
Kendall’s passion lies in working with adolescents though she enjoys working with clients of a variety of ages. Her experience has been in substance abuse, marital conflicts, co-parenting, adjustment, ADHD, PTSD, PPD, Asperger’s Disorder, Eating Disorders, Bipolar Disorder, Personality Disorders, attachment, depression, anxiety, abuse, parenting, Career Counseling, Christian and Religious Counseling, and Life Counseling.
Kendall enjoys using an eclectic approach to counseling although her theoretical disposition tends to be Cognitive-Behavioral. She also has training in Thought-Field Therapy, Parent-Child Interaction Therapy, Play Therapy, and Art Therapy. Kendall also enjoys working with children in the school setting and addressing classroom difficulties. Her strong belief is that every person can benefit from counseling- “it is always a good thing to have someone who will simply listen and provide un-biased feedback”.
