Current Services Offered
Dr. Tarrant has focused much of his work in the past 10 years toward alternative and complementary methods of psychological treatment.  He has recently expanded his services to include the Columbia, Missouri area at Columbia Neurofeedback Center.  At both locations, Dr. Tarrant provides assessment and treatment using State-of-the-art technologies and interventions based on current brain based research.

Dr. Tarrant also integrates research from various approaches such as diet/nutrition, educational kinesiology, movement/exercise and mental training to assist his clients in designing effective integrative treatment plans toward achieving improved mental and emotional clarity in their lives. Treatment approaches are used for diagnoses including:
  • ADHD
  • Autism Spectrum Disorders

  • Anxiety
Comprehensive ADHD Assessment, Psychological Evaluations & Cognitive Assessment
Dr. Tarrant conducts thorough evaluations to assist in clarifying and understanding diagnostic concerns.  This is often an important part of treatment as many mental health concerns have similar characteristics or co-occur.  Proper diagnosis is often the first step in appropriate treatment. 

Professional Experience
Dr. Tarrant is co-owner and director of Spring Grove Counseling and Wellness Center and owner of
Columbia Neurofeedback Center. He has worked as a private practitioner since 1998. Dr. Tarrant has experience working in hospital setting, a drug and alcohol treatment facility, a residential facility and University Counseling Centers. Dr. Tarrant has served as a psychological consultant to the Division of Family Services and served as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Missouri-Columbia and Lincoln University. Dr. Tarrant has conducted educational and psychological evaluations and served as a behavioral consultant for the Jefferson City Public School District since 1998. Dr. Tarrant is a national speaker for MEDS-PDN and will offer a full day workshop titled, "Managing ADHD: Beyond Medication and Behavioral Modification" in October, 2009.
